About me
I am a professionally qualified humanistic counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). This means that I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

As a Registered BACP Member I am required to keep to a high standard of on-going training and development and to attend regular clinical supervision to ensure I provide all my clients with an ethical, safe, and professional service.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Counselling from York St. John, awarded distinction. In addition to my private practice, I have worked as a therapist within different charities; most recently The Kirkwood Hospice and Wakefield Well Women Centre.

I have over 15 years' experience working within the voluntary sector mental health services in the management, development and delivery of services. I have worked in partnership with statutory and private sector organisations in the development of peer-led services. I am passionate about supporting people who feel different or othered in making sense of their experiences and in finding a voice.
