Individual Counselling in Huddersfield and Online

At the moment, I am not able to take on new clients as my practice is full. â€‹â€‹

A Space Just for You

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, confusing, or lonely. Individual counselling offers you a safe, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. My role is not to give advice, but to walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences and discover new ways of coping.

My Approach

I work from a person-centred, humanistic approach. This means I believe you already have the resources within you to move forward — therapy is about creating the right conditions of acceptance, warmth, and understanding to help those resources emerge.

Sessions are shaped around your unique needs. As a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and GSRD-affirming therapist, I create an inclusive environment where you do not need to mask or hide parts of yourself.

Free Introductory Meeting

I appreciate how difficult it can be to find a therapist that feels right for you. I therefore offer a free introductory meeting (up to 20 minutes), online or over the phone. This allows us to meet each other; you can ask me any questions you might have and we can start to explore what brings you to therapy. We can then decide whether we are good match to work together.

Issues You May Be Facing

I support clients with a wide range of experiences, including:

  • Anxiety or low mood (depression)

  • Bereavement and loss

  • Stress, burnout, or trauma

  • Low self-esteem or self-belief

  • Feeling misunderstood, different, or like you don’t fit in

  • Relationship or family difficulties

  • Identity exploration, including neurodivergence, gender, and sexuality

Supporting Neurodivergent People

I specialise in working with autistic and ADHD people, as well as those who are exploring or questioning neurodivergence. Being neurodivergent myself, I understand both the challenges and the strengths that can come with this experience. Therapy with me offers a space where you don’t need to explain or mask your differences — you can simply be yourself.

I support clients to explore experiences, including:

  • Late discovery/diagnosis and making sense of identity

  • Autistic burnout, masking, and rejection sensitivity (RSD-type)

  • Executive function difficulties such as procrastination and time management

I aim to tailor sessions to you specific needs, whether you want to better understand your neurodivergence, build self-compassion, or find ways to thrive in a world that feels like it isn’t designed for you.

What to Expect

Our sessions are collaborative. You bring what feels important, and together we explore it in a way that feels safe and manageable. Over time, counselling can help you:

  • Gain clarity about what you’re experiencing

  • Develop self-acceptance and compassion

  • Strengthen your sense of identity and belonging

  • Find healthier ways of relating to yourself and others

Sessions are usually 60 minutes long; weekly or fortnightly; online or in person depending on your needs

If you are interested in relationship therapy with me please complete the enquiry form and we can book in your first session.
