Strengthening Connection
Relationships can bring joy, closeness, and support — but they can also feel difficult, distant, or stuck. Couples counselling provides a space where you and your partner(s) can explore patterns, rebuild trust, and strengthen your connection.

My Approach
I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), an evidence-based model that helps partners identify and change negative cycles of conflict or withdrawal. The focus is on building safety, trust, and emotional closeness, so that you can reconnect and move forward together.
I welcome and support all relationship structures, including couples, throuples, polycules, and mixed-neurotype partnerships. My practice is neuro-affirming, GSRD-affirming, and trauma-informed, offering an inclusive and respectful space for diverse experiences.

Common Issues We Can Explore Together
-
Repeated conflict or communication breakdowns
-
Feelings of disconnection or distance
-
Managing life transitions (parenthood, career changes, illness, loss)
-
Rebuilding trust after hurt or betrayal
-
Exploring identity, intimacy, or changing relationship structures
Specialism: Supporting Neurodivergent & Mixed-Neurotype Relationships
I have a particular focus on supporting couples where one or both partners are autistic or ADHD, or where partners may be navigating different neurotypes. These relationships can be deeply rewarding, but they sometimes face unique challenges that aren’t always well understood.

I can support you with:
-
Communication breakdowns and misunderstandings
-
Balancing different needs around routine, flexibility, sensory preferences, or energy levels
-
Autistic burnout, masking, and rejection sensitivity (RSD-type) and how these impact the relationship
-
Managing executive function differences (time management, planning, organisation)
-
Navigating life transitions with mixed needs and coping styles
-
Building empathy and mutual understanding between neurodivergent and neurotypical partners
My approach is collaborative, helping partners slow down conflict cycles, express underlying needs safely, and create new ways of relating that respect and affirm each person’s neurotype.

The Process
Couples sessions offer equal space for each partner to be heard and understood. Together we work on:
-
Identifying recurring patterns and triggers
-
Expressing needs in ways that feel safe and constructive
-
Building empathy, trust, and secure attachment
-
Developing tools to sustain healthier patterns beyond therapy

Sessions are usually 60 or 90 minutes long; weekly or fortnightly; online or in person depending on your needs
